On the season finale of the Two Guys Garage 20th Anniversary Season, hosts Kevin Byrd and Willie B will team up with past hosts Dave Bowman, Sam Memmolo and Bryan Fuller to tackle a 20-year-old Jeep Wrangler TJ that was popular when the show first began. The gang will take this old Jeep and bring it up to today’s off-roading standards.

As a series focused on educating DIY automotive enthusiasts and professionals, *Two Guys Garage* has evolved side-by-side with the automotive industry, from tackling automotive repair, to adding performance upgrades, to exploring the newest innovations in automotive technology.

[**Take a look back at how it all started!**](https://brentontv.com/two-guys-garage-20th-anniversary/)

Just like *Two Guys Garage*, the Jeep Wrangler has [come a long way](https://www.motortrend.com/features/jeep-wrangler-history-closer-look-americas-favorite-off-roader/) in the past 20 years. When *Two Guys Garage* debuted in 2001, Jeep had recently introduced the Wrangler TJ, which for the first time included coil instead of leaf spring suspension. In 2007, the Wrangler platform got a complete redesign that made for a safer, more comfortable ride.

Jeep would continue the upgrades over the years, from more powerful and diverse drivetrain options to newer technology like touchscreen infotainment displays and blind-spot monitoring – all the while making the Wrangler more capable off-road.

Of course, one of the best-beloved elements of Jeep ownership is upgrading, modifying, and personalizing your Jeep – which means that as the platform has evolved, so has the support from the automotive aftermarket. This makes the 2001 TJ a perfect “Throwback Project” to commemorate 20 years of *Two Guys Garage*.

What plans does the *Two Guys Garage* gang have for their 20th Anniversary Jeep Wrangler project?  You’ll have to tune in to MotorTrend on **Sunday, November 7** to find out!

In the meantime, here’s a look behind the scenes at what happened when Kevin, Willie, and the show’s alumni got together to celebrate two decades of *Two Guys Garage*.
